Ok so I haven’t written in a while and this will not be an entry to remember but I am writing to post yet another polyvore set, this time with important self estem reasons. I have recently put on god awful amounts of weight and this polywore set will help keep me motivated at the gym. Why?
Well for one: I am more then kindof obsessed with the 70’s look seen here. My mom rocked it in the 70’s early 80’s and I have taken many a fashion queue from it.
Another: this very cute outfit will not fit my fat tummy (thanks again for mom for giving me the “I only gain weight in the belly like a beer drinking old man” gene…yeah thanks for that)
So: if I fall in love with an outfit as cute as this I can dream about myself rocking it while I both literally and proverbially break my ass on the elliptical….wish me luck
And take note of the side outfit where I quite garishly allow myself to wear Christian Louboutin shoes, with a Jimmy Choo clutch and YSL necklace. Got to love that dream shopping!! Note also that it is paired with a cheap as hell shirt that is very cute. Why? Because even in the dream world of unlimited dream shopping where I shop with a black card made of dreams…..I am still cheap
Good night and good luck

Don’t become a statistic
Ok so I read in an article in the NYTimes that blogging is dying out, and many blogs, after attracting young hopefulls with dreams of sponsorship and blogging income, are abandoned. Imagine my horror when I logged on just now and saw that my last log in was in May.
So here are the updates:
1. I just got back from the Bahamas and it was amazing. Like AMAZING. I am tan, relaxed and ready to go back
2. I did my internship for a law firm and I have to say I loved it. It was very rewarding and I got a chance to go to a multitude of courts. All and all an amazing experience
3. I have a near deadly cooking bug at present. Today I made a life changing sandwich (fired egg on top of a whole grain ciabatta crostini with olive oil, parmesan, tomato sauce and garlic) OMFG, as in oh my foodie god. My next gastronomic adventure may be sushi. I have always wanted to make my own and I think I have just enough culinary bravado at present to think I won’t just end up with $30 in wasted Asian vinegars and spices and an unintentional facial mask of sticky rice. Wish me luck. If it works I promise to post pictures.
4. this leads me to another problem: I am officially annoyed with the food network. Can we talk about how in the 24 hours of programming these bitches are churning out daily, there is not a single show aimed at my target demographic. I’, in my early 20’s, love to cook but am not that experienced with it, live alone in a wintsy apartment and have no money. I am far from a minority, so where is the show that demonstrates basic cooking technique aimed at those who can’t cook but not for lack of skill and don’t have the dough to spend a lot of money on ingredients. Instead we have niche-cooking shows focused on one type of cuisine (ie, giada (who gave us the aforementioned sandwich) and Mario batalli for Italian as an example) or Rachael ray making 87 versions of mac and cheese or burgers like her audience is a bunch of backward, pan hating nimrods with no taste buds (ok that was angry…I hate her. This is mostly because I could have her job,. She was never a chef, like me and between us girls I think I can cook better) Don’t be fooled…..she totally eats French gourmet every night…I know it!! Maybe I should quit law school and start a cooking show.
5. My boyfriend is basically the best boyfriend on earth. I fell in love with a pair of shoes (see previous posts) but sadly could not purchase them. And then about a week ago, as a present for our anniversary/ to show me that he was proud of me for finishing my first year of law school, he bought them for me. I squealed when I saw him, not only because I wanted them, but because he was so sweet to listen to my aimless rambles about shoes, and to treat me like a princess even though I don’t ask to be. I LOVE HIM!!!!!
6. oh finished my first year of law school
7. ok that’s enough for now. Sorry I have neglected you blog.

pain = fashion
ok so here is another outit I built around the shoes I am in love with. This is just hours after finishing my first final which suuuucked. it was con law, so I was the most prepared and its a great subject, but grrraaahh why? Whoever decided there should be finals should have there pants lighten on fire and put out with a 2x4 full of rusty nails. but that's just me. hey let's end months of arduous study with a single test that is the only thing standing between you and any semblince of success at this hotmess you call a profession.
so here is my set, built on a foundation of pain and horror.

super-sized liberals v. tiny republicans
So I am in the most boring class ever, so what a time to post a blog. There is good news. Its sunny today. And even though it was 34 degrees when I left my apartment this morning, it still didn’t feel that cold. I can’t wait. I love this kind of weather, fall and spring defiantly have the cutest clothing choices. For instance tomorrow I’m thinking about my new grey vest, button down and jeans. Maybe even flip flops if I want ot be feisty.
I suppose not much else is new. I’m going to barristers ball which is like law school prom and therefore yet another reason that law school parallels high school, despite the fact that the average age here is 30. conclusion: we can blame high school on our hormones, but we were really nuts because an environment that forces you to do the same things with the same people all the time is a pressure cooker for unseemly behavior.
In other news, did anyone hear about the pint sized conservative? Omg what a hotmess. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/08/fashion/08conserve.html?ref=style. My fathers response when I sent this to him was “this kids a real jerk”. I suppose I shouldn’t go where I want to go with this. And now that I’ve noted that I shouldn’t ….I am. Little kid a conservative republican= this must mean that conservatism is something you should logically grow out of like baby teeth. Kid, call me when your voice stops cracking and we can talk about things like ethics and morality. Gosh that’s liberating. Don’t get me wrong I have the utmost respect for most republicans. In fact, if I was one kids like this would make me even more mad. When did republican become synonymous with conservative?
But enough of that. I haven’t the desire to expound on such issues. I only have the desire to read fashion magazines and eat fast food. I gave us fashion magazines for lent (I’m dying) and have eaten so much fast food this week, the people at McDonald’s must think I’m making the poor mans super size me.
I think I need to start taking valium or something. And while your at it, add a shake and yes super-size me.

Alexandra you're a star
So I am an idiot (thank you habitual Jack Daniels usage) and I didn’t realize that you could leave comments on my blog. I saw one the other day and it was my number one faithful reader, my sister. However, in reading the rest I realized that there are other people reading this besides her and my boyfriend. How reassuring and exciting. Thank you for the support guys.
Also I have news:
1. It is my 6month anniversary with my boyfriend. And yes it is worth celebrating because he’s the bestest boyfriend I’ve ever had
2. In law school, you can’t help but to make law school jokes. For instance: there is a case about a women getting raped behind he bush of a vacant lot and suing the lot owner. Result: jokes about how not tending your bush could lead to legal action. Moral: keep your bush trimmed or it will hurt people
3. when you make one of these jokes with your normal friends they don’t get it, think your nuts, ask you to explain even though you insist they wont think its funny, and an hour later they still don’t get it and now think that you spend so much time in the books that you have no life. This is sadly a true thing
4. If more then four people read this I am basically famous
5. Being in a bad feminine way and having just returned from vacation I am a walking cautionary tale about the dangers of Betty Crocker addiction
6. sleep is a good thing
